Video marketing is a very popular way for business owners to get the word out about their products or opportunities. Many people, from home based business owners to large corporations, use this method of marketing and for many reasons.

* When prospects see an actual person offering the product, they feel more comfortable when deciding to buy the product.

* Videos, if marketed correctly, can bring in a ton of traffic to any website.

* Video marketing is a “set it and forget it” type of marketing. Videos are long term and will remain active for years to come.

So video marketing has many benefits and is proven to be very effective. But it doesn’t matter how great the benefits of this type of advertising is or how great a person’s videos are if no one ever sees the videos. So how do we get traffic to the videos? :

o Bookmark videos. Social bookmarking has been proven to be very effective at bring visitors to a webpage. Bookmark every video. This will provide backlinks to your videos and attract the attention of the search engines.

Traffic is vital to the life of every website. But traffic is not enough. You can generate 3000 visitors to your website everyday but if the visitors aren’t buying your product or signing up for your opportunity, then all of the hard work put in to generating the traffic was a waste of time. When people view a video, they chose to view it for a reason. Ask yourself a few questions:

o Who is viewing your videos?

* What do they want?

* Are you giving them what they want?

Most home based business owners sell their opportunities, but the problem is that many of the people that view their videos probably have already joined an opportunity or have already been offered many opportunities. Your videos must provide something of value. Give the people value. If they are already in an opportunity, then they don’t want to hear about another opportunity. They want to learn how to make the most of their opportunity. Show them:

o How to get traffic to their websites.

* How to automate their business.

* The different types of advertising.

Your videos should draw the people into thinking you are the expert. Once they believe that you are, they will follow you and eventually join your opportunity or buy your product.
